This thought prompted the first of many discussions between Girish and Jessica to come up with a line of products that contained clinically proven ingredients. It was through a desire to provide consumers with products that are backed by published studies and have a balanced profile of safety and efficacy that The Purple Soul was born.

The Purple Soul’s ingredients are carefully sourced and formulated to provide optimum results. We have had years of experience conceptualizing skin care products for some of the top pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies for Indian as well as US markets.

Business Soul

Mr. Suneet Bhutta

A hands-on executive with 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry managing and accomplishing product launch, marketing, and distribution of pharmaceuticals, cosmetic and nutritional products. Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical sciences from St. John’s University, New York.

Innovation Soul

Dr Girish Kulkarni

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Mumbai University, a Master’s degree in Pharmacology from St. John’s University, New York, and a Ph.D. in Toxicology from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore. He has completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Neuroscience and In vivo Pharmacology, from the University of Maryland Medical Centre, Baltimore, USA. Dr Kulkarni’s has 15+ years of experience, with his work spanning various aspects of drug discovery and development cycle.

Ms Jessica Bhutta

Jessica, a psychologist trained in the United States, has donned many hats over the years, including those of mother, teacher, psychologist, and entrepreneur. Her desire to reduce dependency on imported, expensive beauty products drove her search for safe, authentic, and locally sourced products. This quest led her to co-found The Purple Soul. The Purple Soul’s ‘clean beauty’ formulations are backed by science and robust research and are effective on all skin types. Jessica aims to further extend her brand’s impact by investing a part of the brand’s earnings in girl-child education.
